7 Factors to Keep in Mind While Guest Posting in 2019

I’m going to be giving you a little bit of a guide to guest posting.  Guest blogging is definitely something we hear a lot about and see a lot of in the blogosphere in terms of getting you traffic to your website but it’s not as simple as just slapping your name on some content and hoping that a blogger will post it. You really need to be a little bit more strategic. If you actually want the readers to think hey I’m going to check these personnel.

If you are new to guest posting and never get posted before or if you have done it in the past and you’re just looking for some tips to do it a little better that’s what I’m going to be covering today. Now super quick if you are into blogging either as a new or established blogger:

Factors to Keep In Mind While Guest Posting-2019

Connecting With People

So my first tip is about genuinely connecting with and supporting people that you would like to potentially provide guest post services. I don’t get annoyed when I get an email that says:  “Hey! I liked your posts. I’d also like to guest post on your blog.” Friends the best adventures that you are going to have as a blogger is by making those genuine connections with people.

“Hey I loved your blog post because of XYZ reason. It really resonated with me because I went through it and your blog posts really made a difference. If you’re interested we are in the same category and I would love to write a piece for you”. And that is a much more enticing letter to receive as a busy blogger

Make It Professional

Write and make it very professional. It’s easy to send somebody a quick tweet or something and say, I’d love to guest post on your blog rather than if I’m not getting mail letters and the emails from people that are just very professional and come across very respectfully. Everything is spelled correctly and there should be no grammar errors. I mean those are the little things that really matter because if you’re asking to post on my blog where all of my readers are going to see it, I want to see that you really mean business.

Mention your ideas

  • Write a proposal of your idea in your pitch. I really love it when I receive some semblance of an idea “You’d like to write for me?”

I’m not saying you should send them your blog post. I don’t think that that’s a good idea but I do think that it’s important to say:

“Hey I would like to write about it and here’s why I feel I could write about that.” I got this great experience that could really elaborate on the issue or the topic”.

  • Give them an idea of what you have in mind because if you intrigue them then they’re more likely to accept your request to post on their blog.

Safety Benefits

Insure them about the Safety benefits that they will receive by letting you guest post on their site .What’s happening here is they’re opening the doors to their home to you . They will let you come and stay.

  • Show them that you are going to be a great house guest.
  • How your readers will be benefited by you by giving me a little bit of the space that you have on your blog just for a short period of time.

Thanks Giving

Always thank them for their time. After you have emailed them and requested a guest post and then accept whatever answers they give you with grace. Just thank your hosts so they’re opening their blog home they’re giving you a little space. Be sure to thank them for letting you guest post in their blog. Many times I have been in the middle of launches when I have received guest post requests and at the time I would have loved to have the guest post but I simply couldn’t because I just had too much on my plate and it’s always the people that graciously understand that really leave a good impression to me so that when I know later on if I need someone to guest post I’m more likely to reach back out to those people that were very gracious, kind and understanding. You never know what’s going on in their personal or their business life, so don’t take it personally if they say no. Just find somebody else and try again.

Promote the Post

Promote the post on your own social media channels. Obviously you’re driving website to somebody else’s site or somebody else’s blog but they’re doing you a favor by letting you guest post on their website so be sure to promote it on all of your social media channels in the same way that you would for any of your own blog posts. If you already have an email list be sure to send a message to your subscribers so that they know you’re guest posting somewhere else as well.

Respond To Comments

My last tip is to respond to the comments underneath that guest post. Take the day off. Get to all the comments. If they have time to respond to the comments they can but if not you’ve got it covered and this is really great for you as well because you’re interacting with a new audience and that could be really great coverage for your website.

By following these tips you are definitely going to build a good guest post.
